Covid-19: See How Massachusetts Ranked On List Of Safest States During The Pandemic

As COVID-19 vaccinations rollout across the nation, it is becoming clear that some states are safer than others.

In a new ranking based on population vaccination statistics, WalletHub lists the most, and least, safest states during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The results are based on COVID-19 transmission rates, positive testings, hospitalizations, deaths, as well as what percentage of the eligible population has been vaccinated.

If this were a report card based on a curve, Massachusetts would get a C on safety. WalletHub ranked Massachusetts as the 27th safest state during the COVID-19 pandemic.

HIGHLIGHTS

The safest state for people worried about COVID-19 is Alaska, according to the study, after that Hawaii, Maine, North Dakota, and Wyoming are secure.

The least safe state in the nation is Ohio by a wide margin, the study said.

The WalletHub report also ranked states based on factors considered - hospitalizations, deaths, etc.

The state with the lowest COVID-19 transmission rate is Arizona. The state with the highest transmission rate is Nebraska.
